the hatch is open… a new Wine Tasting Room in West Kelowna May 30, 2015 – Posted in: other extraordinary endeavours, the people, the place, the wine
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
West Kelowna, BC ( May 29th, 2015 ) – We are thrilled to be opening the doors to the hatch, our rustic family friendly tasting room in panoramic West Kelowna this weekend!
the hatch tasting room, offering a unique wine experience, is located on a picturesque working vineyard property located at 3225 Boucherie Road, West Kelowna, BC. Look for the art installation that has a nest head with a floating egg… that’s us! At the helm of the hatch is the collaboration and vision of wine industry vets; Jesse Harnden General manager, Andrew Melville Chief Steward, Jason Parkes Winemaker, and Scott Ingram Vineyard Manager.
the hatch wines have already found great praise and were recently awarded a Double Gold Medal (Best Chardonnay in Canada under $20) for our Screaming Frenzy Chardonnay at the All Canadian Wine Championships. We consider it quite an honour and stellar way to stand up on our wine legs as a contender and producer of great varietals.
Additional releases that can be enjoyed in our spacious tasting room, as well as on our scenic patio and picnic area, include our Champagne method Brut Rosé, our B. Yanco, which is a refreshing crisp house white, and our delicious Screaming Frenzy Pinot Noir (recently winning a Silver Medal) among many others! All of our well-versed tasting room “hatchlings” will happily share with our guests the colourful and fateful stories behind our unique labels, painted by the incredibly talented Vancouver artist Paul Morstad.
We hope to see you soon! Tasting room hours can be found on our website www.thehatchwines.com and group tours and enquiries are always welcome.
